HPC-045 HORI HOTAS Flight Control System & Mount for PC (Windows® 11 / 10)

This application allows the HORI HOTAS Flight Control System to be used as an XInput controller.

Using this application allows the product to be used with games such as ACE COMBAT 8, which do not support DirectInput controllers.

Setup

Downloading and Launching the Application

1. Download the HORI HOTAS Flight XInput Driver here:

2. Launch HORI Hotas Flight Xinput Driver.exe.

Since this is a new and unrecognised application, your computer or virus software may flag this application with a warning. The firmware updater app is safe and virus-free, so please click "Run anyway".

Basic Operation

Home Screen Functions

When you launch the HORI HOTAS Flight XInput Driver, the following screen will be displayed.

1. Device Connection Status

When a compatible product is connected, the device status will be displayed as “Connected”.

2. XInput Mode ON Button

Connect the Flight Stick and Throttle separately to your PC, then click the “XInput Mode ON” button to use them together as a single XInput controller.

The driver will be installed the first time XInput Mode is enabled.

Note: If the following message is displayed during driver installation, click “Yes”.

3. XInput Mode OFF Button

Click the “XInput Mode OFF” button to exit XInput Mode.

4. Change Button Settings

Click “Open Button Settings” to open the button settings screen.

You can change the button assignments for the Flight Stick and Throttle.

Note: Button settings cannot be changed while XInput Mode is ON. Turn XInput Mode OFF before selecting “Open Button Settings”.

5. Language Settings

The language displayed in the HORI HOTAS Flight XInput Driver can be changed to one of the following:

English | French | Italian | Spanish

Japanese | Simplified Chinese | Traditional Chinese | Korean

Customising the Flight Stick

Select “Open Button Settings” to display the following screen.

1. Switch between Flight Stick and Throttle Screens

Switch between the Flight Stick and Throttle button settings screens.

2. Button Settings

Click an icon representing a button to open the list of available button assignments.

Select the desired button function from the list to change the button assignment.

3. Restore Flight Stick and Throttle Settings to Default

Restore the Flight Stick and Throttle button assignments to their default settings.

4. Save Button Settings

Save the button settings and close the settings screen.

Customising the Throttle

From the Button Settings screen, select “Throttle” to display the Throttle button settings screen.

2. Button Settings

Click an icon representing a button to open the list of available button assignments.

Select the desired button function from the list to change the button assignment.

3. Throttle Settings

Click “Throttle Settings” to open the detailed Throttle settings screen.

Single Throttle Mode / Twin Throttle Mode

You can configure the button settings for both Single Throttle Mode, in which the left and right throttles operate as one unit, and Twin Throttle Mode, in which the left and right throttles operate independently.

Select the throttle mode you want to use.

1-Button Input Mode / 2-Button Input Mode

1-Button Input Mode:
The MIN direction (towards you) is treated as no input. You can assign a button that is activated when the throttle is moved towards the MAX direction.

2-Button Input Mode:
The centre position of the throttle is treated as no input. Separate buttons can be assigned to the MAX and MIN directions.

4. Restore Flight Stick and Throttle Settings to Default

Restore the Flight Stick and Throttle button assignments to their default settings.

5. Save Button Settings

Save the button settings and close the settings screen.
